The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Donna Riley, Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent for BCISD, has been named June Employee of the Month. Donna was presented her award, sponsored by Sabine River Ford, by Lifetime Ambassador and Board Member, Shirley Zimmerman at the June 2017 Networking Coffee hosted by Golden Triangle Emergency Center. She received gifts and gift certificates from the following businesses: Sabine Federal Credit Union, Total Impressions, Dupuis Tire & Service Center, The Penny Record, Bridge City Dairy Queen, Mary Kelone of Barefoot Souls, The Classy Peacock, Neches Federal Credit Union, Complete Staffing, Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Bridge City, Candi’s Designs, Delta Life Fitness Orange County, and Five Point Credit Union.
Donna Hinton Riley has lived in Bridge City since 1961. She is a 1975 graduate of Bridge City High School. This month she celebrates her 42nd wedding anniversary with David Riley. They attend St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Donna has two children and four grandchildren: John Riley who is married to his wife Nicole who have two children Jack and Madelyn, and daughter, Jamie Roy who is married to husband Garrett who have two children Riley Kate and Griffin, who all live in Houston, Texas.
Donna has worked for Bridge City ISD for twenty-nine years starting out as a PE Aide at Hatton Elementary and is now the Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent. She said, “I enjoy any opportunity given to assist our administrators, teachers & staff in making BCISD the Best Place in Texas for our kids! I am very honored to be recognized with this award. Thank you to the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce and the many sponsors.” Dr. Gina Mannino, BCISD Assistant Superintendent, said, “She is very deserving. Passion for BCISD. Passion for Bridge City. She has a servant’s heart.”
