The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the October Student of the Month for Orangefield High School is Gabby Kearns. Gabby was presented her certificate and gift bag by Chamber Ambassador Christy Khoury, Orange County Treasurer, at the October 11th coffee hosted by Elizabeth’s Hidden Treasures. She received gift certificates and gifts from: The Classy Peacock, Bridge City Walmart, Wellspring Credit Union, Beaumont Occupational Services, Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Bridge City, Sabine Federal Credit Union, COS Printing, Sabine River Ford, Complete Staffing, Serendipity Chicks, Neches Federal Credit Union, and Bridge City Bank.
Gabby is the daughter of Robert and Sarah Kearns. She has a GPA of 4.5 and is ranked 12 of 108. Gabby’s awards and honors include:

In community service, Gabby has volunteered for Adaptive Sports for Kids, Stark Reading Contest for 3 years, and various community projects through NHS and Interact.
Mrs. Campbell, World History Teacher, said, “I have had the privilege of working with Gabby for three years now. She is extremely motivated and driven in so many different areas of her school career. She has been a model student and great student leader.”
Mrs. Patterson, Counselor, said, “Gabby is hard working and determined that she seems to handle any situation, even those of utmost difficulty, with excellence.”
After graduation, Gabby plans to join the United States Navy and become a Nuclear Engineer.
