Don Miller, Social Studies Department Chair, said, “It has been my pleasure to work with Zach Dionne in his academic and extracurricular events.  I have seen Zach excel in his social studies work and in his UIL participation which includes competing on the 2nd place UIL Social Studies team at State.  Zach is a hard worker and I know that whatever he puts his mind to doing he is going to do to the best of his ability.  I expect great things from Zach this school year.”

Faye Parish, Calculus Teacher, said, “Zachary James Dionne is an earnest and delightful young man.  It was my privilege to have him as a student in PreCal PreAP and he is currently in my AP Calculus class. Zach is ranked number two in a very competitive, capable class and very well rounded in his studies.  He brought home medals last year from the UIL state competition in Austin in both Social Studies and Mathematics…two very diverse competitions.  Zach is well traveled.  Besides visiting most of the states in the United States he has visited over a dozen foreign countries.  He has a good grasp of local, state, national, and world politics.  Zach wants to be an Environmental Engineer and help preserve our world for future generations.  He is passionate about doing good deeds in this world.  Zach is an incredibly hard worker, with good morals and high ethical standards.”

Cathy Riley, English Teacher, said, “ZACH DIONNE is absolutely one of my favorite students because he is an absolute gentleman with an exuberant personality.  Zach is the Strutter Escort Captain this year and has been an escort for three years.  He traveled with the Strutters to Ireland, and was a stellar representative for our organization and BCHS.  One might see ZACH playing a baseball game, competing at UIL contests in math and social studies, speaking eloquently as he analyzes an AP novel at an inner-outer circle discussion in English AP class, or dancing and singing at the annual Strutters Spring Revue.  He demonstrates a positive influence on others and strives for a richer existence.  Without a doubt, ZACH DIONNE’s future will be rich and those he influences will be richer for knowing him.”

When asked about his plans after high school, Zachary said, “I plan to attend a university in Texas and obtain a degree in Environmental Engineering to help ensure clean air, water, and proper sanitation for future generations.”
